If you have any knowledge about dance, particularly ballet, you’ll understand my post title reference (more precisely, the French phrase would be “en pointe”). Quick story, my sister, Erica, is a dance instructor, and she also takes the majority of the outfit photos for my blog. While shooting the photos for this outfit, and influenced by my lace-up flats, Erica suggested that I incorporate some ballet movement into my poses.

Onto the ensemble… I love this top (seriously, go see the price, it’s amazing!) but I definitely wasn’t wearing the best bra, or I adjusted something wrong, because it looked good at home! *Oops* I’m having so many blogger bloopers as I perfect this hobby…really… this art form… because fashion and style truly are art. Back to the outfit, I’m still all about distressed denim; and most importantly, these shoes are amazing! So trendy, so comfy, and I love the color!

Speaking of trends, I feel like my entire outfit speaks to current trends (so on point!). What are some of your favorite trends this year?

  24. I think it was genius that your sister suggested you incorporate a ballet pose into your post because it brings it alive more and adds more meaning to the post, high five for that! As for your outfit, I love it, what’s not to love?! Everything is styled to perfection and I love how the laced up top ties in with the laced up flats creating a lovely cohesive flow.   48. I did ballet as a child and stopped just as I was going to get my points. In fact I still have my points, they hang in my bedroom in Nigeria so when I come back home (like once or twice in a year), I stare at them longingly. Anyhoo, back to you: love those lace up flat points and the colour, oooh the colour, I’m all about that Cobalt Poppn Blue. Top is sexy too! ( :
