Floral Cropped Top & Draped Maxi Skirt

Hello, July! It’s a short week, and today is pretty much “Friday Eve” for me… I’m super excited for the long weekend, and this month… we’re in the heart of summer and my next several weekends are booked up with fun plans! Speaking of excitement, I think I spent about 2 or 3 months pondering over the perfect maxi skirt. I’m a big fan of maxi dresses, but it took me a bit to get on board with maxi skirts. Once I decided I wanted one, I was on the hunt for a while… then… *cue the angelic sounding choir* I stumbled across this draped maxi skirt from Express…and guess what? I loved it so much, so I bought it in a few of the other colors, too!

Admittedly, if you read this post, you’ll know that I was hesitant to wear cropped tops. Even though I really work it in the gym, eat pretty healthfully, and definitely have abs, I wondered if the garment was age appropriate (I’m 26…but still…) and mommy appropriate. My final ruling? A cropped top can be worn very tastefully, and I think I nailed it with this skirt. Take a look…

  74. You most definitely have abs, to say the least. Your stomach (and body) is rockin. I remember when I first found your blog and I wanted to know what work outs you did because you have such a great body. No doubt about it, you can pull off the crop top look.
